Meet Dr. Jake Varble
I was born and raised in Jerseyville, Illinois, where I had the unique opportunity to grow up surrounded by the world of dentistry and orthodontics. Watching my father care for patients and build lasting relationships inspired me from a young age. Today, I feel grateful to be practicing orthodontics in the same community that helped shape who I am.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology and graduating cum laude. While there, I had the privilege of playing four years of college football for the Salukis. Go Dawgs!
I went on to attend Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, where I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. I continued my education at SIU School of Dental Medicine Orthodontic Residency Program, earning a Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics and receiving advanced training in creating healthy, beautiful smiles.
I am a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and Illinois State Dental Society. I have completed Part I of the American Board of Orthodontics Written Examination and am currently preparing for the Part II Clinical Examination, with the goal of becoming board certified later this year.
Outside the office, I enjoy cooking and traveling with my wife, Hannah, and spending time with our yellow lab. I also love golfing in the warmer months and hunting with family and friends when the seasons change.
I’m proud to have recently joined Varble Orthodontics, working alongside my dad to provide personalized, high-quality orthodontic care to our community. It means so much to be part of a family practice, working together to provide exceptional care and quality patient experiences.
I’m passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles, and I look forward to welcoming you to our office!
