Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.  We are preparing our office for re-opening and want to bring all of our patients up-to-date on how our operations will differ post COVID-19.   Our tentative re-open date is May 18, 2020.  Of course, this could change given recommendations by our Governor, American Dental Society and Illinois State Dental Society but we are optimistic.

We will be re-opening on a reduced schedule and will practice social distancing throughout our office.  Our staff will be wearing N95 masks as well as safety goggles/face shields and as always will be disinfecting our entire office environment according to American Dental Association (ADA), CDC and OSHA guidelines.  Also, our office only performs non-aerosol generating procedures so we do not present the same risk as other offices that conduct aerosol generating procedures.

When it is time for your next appointment, you will notice some changes.  We are making these changes to help protect our patients and staff.  The following procedures will be implemented until further notice:

  • Our waiting room will be closed to non-patients.  This includes parents.  We ask that parents wait in their cars during your child’s visit.  If you have concerns regarding your child’s treatment please call our office to discuss.  When possible, we encourage appointments and payments be made over the phone in order to limit the number of people in our waiting room.  We encourage auto payment in order to simplify this process and our front desk will be happy to set that up for you.
  • Two forms are required to be signed prior to seeing any patient.  They are, “Supplemental Informed Consent” and “Supplemental Health Questionnaire”.  These forms are mandated by our Malpractice Insurance and must be completed and signed prior to seeing any patient.  A link to these forms can be found below. Please complete and sign and bring in (adult patient) or send with your child on the day of their first appointment.  Patients will be refused if they do not have this form.
  • We ask that patients brush their teeth prior to arrival to minimize exposure at the brushing station.
  • If available, we request that the patient wear a mask until being seated in the treatment chair in order to comply with Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order.
  • Hand sanitizer is available and we ask everyone to use upon entering the office.
  • We will have an assistant in our waiting room to greet and direct our patients.  Our assistant will be completing a patient screening form so a few routine health questions will be asked as well as taking the temperature of all patients.
  • The patient will be immediately seated and seen by the doctor.
  • All patients are asked to leave the premises as soon as their procedure is completed.  Therefore, we request that parents remain in their car in the parking lot for the duration of the appointment.

We realize these changes may be challenging and our staff is here to help.  Please don’t hesitate to call our office with any questions or concerns.  We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Due to the recent extension of COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, our office will remain closed until Monday May, 4th.  This closure is in compliance with the recommendation of the American Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists and Illinois State Dental Society.  If you have an appointment prior to May 4, we will be contacting you to reschedule.

Our office will continue to be available for emergencies on an appointment basis.  Please call if you have any concerns regarding your treatment.
